It's all about the EXPERIENCE! Here at
Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi we believe in the importance of creating a dialogue,
in bridge-building and in education, and that's why we are offering YOU the
opportunity to participate in an educational journey to the Holy Land during one
of our most important events - JPII Games, a pilgrimage that brings
together sports and faith in > honor of the Blessed John Paul II.
What's this about? It's simply a
great way that we, an entity of the Church of Rome, can offer people the chance
to participate in a pilgrimage that promotes peace while at the same time
allows you to experience your Christian roots in the land where it all began.
Along the way, we get to learn more about the many inspiring young people who
comprise our
Jospers community.
How will it work? It's simple and
straightforward. We will select two of you to participate for free, all
expenses paid, in the five-day marathon-pilgrimage from the 21- 25 October in
the Holy Land. No, you don't need to be a long-distance runner. We are looking
to take two young, inspiring "peace builders" from our Jospers community for the
journey of a lifetime. Just tell us (in writing, or in a brief video essay) why
we should choose you to participate. Are you passionate about the Holy Land? Is
it your lifelong dream to visit Israel and Palestine? Do you share the values
promoted by the JPII Games [LINK TO THE JP2 GAMES HERE]? Do you see yourself as
a global citizen, active in your community, volunteering your time to improve
the lives of others, or to better the planet? Is there a message for peace and
community-building that you feel is worth sharing? If so, then share with us
your personal story and what you hope to see/feel/achieve by taking part in this
journey with us to the Holy Land.
How to participate? The brief
write up of no more than 300 words [it must include name, date of birth, city of
residence, current studies] along with a photo must be emailed to
socialmedia@orpnet.org by October
7. Do you prefer to tell your story with a brief film (of no more than 3-minute
length)? Then send us the link of your video essay. The two young adults will be
selected within 10 days and will have to write about their EXPERIENCE in the
Holy Land for our blog - jospers.posterous.com
