JOSP Fest 2010
For the first time JOSP Fest, Journeys of the Spirit Festival, that will be held in Rome at the New Rome Fair Grounds from the 14 – 17 January, will host the JOSP Trade Workshop and a series of other events and initiatives focused on business-to-business. Created by Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi, an activity of the Vicariate of Rome, Department of the Holy See, and organized by Quo Vadis, the JOSP Trade Workshop that will run from the 14 – 16 January. It will begin with the presentation of proposals tied to the world of pilgrimages and journeys related to culture, art and nature. Then a group of 80 preselected national and international buyers from Italy and throughout Europe, United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Philippines and Russia, will meet OTO [one-to-one] with the tourism operators exhibiting at JOSP Fest in an effort to help grow and expand their operations. The Workshop will be enriched by a series of meetings, seminars, training sessions and tours that will work to enrich the JOSP Trade Workshop experience, such as a seminar dedicated to the Cral Italia and training sessions about communication, web technology, e-commerce, social networking and destination marketing. In addition there will be EDUCTOURs that will begin after the Workshop has concluded inside the New Rome Fair G rounds. The three EDUCTOURs will show operators religious-cultural itineraries in either Lazio Region or the Umbria Region. The three night, four day tours will conclude with a tour of Rome onboard ORP’s Christian Rome Open Bus. JOSP Fest, the International Festival of the Itineraries of the Spirit, is an event that promotes the experiences tied to “journeys of the Spirit.” It represents a pilgrimage across continents and cultures and is the occasion to discover the beauty that the world offers to those interested in travelling and learning.
